Chicago Teachers Union is on Strike for More Mental Health

The Chicago Teachers Union (CTU) is on strike for more mental health professionals in the schools. CTU is requesting increases in school social workers and psychologists, as current clinician-to-student ratios are well below what is recommended by national professional organizations. PsiAN stands in solidarity with the CTU, as these minimal mental health resources must be made available to our children — our most vulnerable population, and our future.
