PsiAN is unveiling its updated website, and with it this new page: the PsiAN Forum.  The Forum will feature short essays, articles, and other writing from multiple authors.  These will be posted one at a time, with new material appearing frequently.  There will always be something fresh on this page, so visit often!

Individual pieces will most often be grouped into general themes, offering dedicated readers several viewpoints on a given theme.  We’ll also post standalone articles by guest authors, interviews of interesting people, and maybe some poetry or photography.

The Forum aims to be informal and easy to read — to whet your appetite, not stuff you full.  We’ll include links here and there for the full-course meal.

Our first theme will be the value of therapies of depth, insight, and relationship.  For a few weeks, we’ll feature articles on this theme, then we’ll move on to something else.  Future themes may include simple introductions to various therapies of depth, insight, and relationship; challenges to accessing (or delivering) this type of therapy; the evidence base for its effectiveness; media depictions of therapy; affordability issues; myths to debunk; and so on.

We also plan to host online webinars, free and open to the public, that springboard off the written Forum.  Perhaps a panel discussion among the authors who shared a theme, an interview with a book author, or a more in-depth discussion of a Forum topic.  We’ll keep you posted.

As editor of this page, I look forward to thoughtful interchange, a diversity of voices, and inspiration.  PsiAN is an advocacy organization, and the Forum will achieve its purpose if it helps all of us appreciate, promote, and think more deeply about meaningful therapeutic relationships.  I hope the prospect excites you as much as it does me.

We are always seeking writing that furthers PsiAN’s mission.  Contact Us to submit material for possible publication on this page.
