In partnership with the Chicago Psychoanalytic Institute, PsiAN presented “A Conversation with Hannah Zeavin PhD.” Our Co-Founder Linda Michaels PsyD,MBA led an online interview with Dr. Zeavin on her recent book The Distance Cure: A History of Teletherapy. This well-researched and timely book offers a transnational social history of therapies deployed beyond the classic consulting room. Psychotherapy across distance and time, from Freud's treatments -- including his own - by mail to crisis hotlines, radio call-ins, chatbots, and Zoom sessions.
